NBC maybe tempted to cancel long-serving soap opera 'Days of our Lives' to accomodate for Megyn Kelly's incoming daytime news program in the channel.

There were early rumors that Kelly's show will replace the third hour of the 'Today' show at 9 am, sources say that members of the cast have already told that 2017 would be show's last year. The show's current time slot is 1-2 pm.

These claims may have come as a shock for many general public, the close sources say that NBC have been renewing soap opera on an year-to-year basis for quite some time now, some what indicating an impeding finale of the show that has been airing since 1965.

Kelly's replacement in the "The Kelly's File's" 9 pm time slot at the Fox News has already been announced as the Tucker Carlson, so eventually NBC is facing some issues and pressure to announce some sort of a plan when it comes to Kelly's placement in their daily schedule is concerned.

The initial announcement of Kelly's joining at the NBC news revealed vague plans for her to save a Sunday night news show in addition to her daytime program and involvement in a major event coverage.

While Kelly's official role at the NBC is yet to be decided, company's News chairman Andrew Lack has offered the journalist three new gigs at the network, to host her own daytime show and anchor an in-depth Sunday night news and taking part in a major event program, it all matches to what Megyn's vague schedule suggested about her.

A source close to the journalist says nobody knows what she exactly is going to do, there is so much that still has to be arranged. It's definitely not like she's starting on the Today show Monday morning.
