A Netflix tweet in late December referencing the revival's shocking cliffhanger, made the Gilmore Girls fans excited and speculations were made for more episodes the A Year in the Life cliffhanger.

The Gilmore Girls fans can look on the replies of Alexis Bledel, who stars as Rory Gilmore in the latest Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life installment. Bledel addressed the speculation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Saturday, January 7.

According to ET Online, Alexis Bledel, a 35-year-old actor who was promoting her new Hulu drama, The Handmaid's Tale, told reporters that she hasn't "heard anything" about the new episodes.

When asked whether she'd be open to reprising her beloved role if and when the time came, Bledel replied. "I really don't know. It hasn't been a conversation as of yet."

Bledel also added "All of us want to tell a good story. The only thing I can say about future installments is that it would be about the story and the timing. We want to tell a great story."

As per the US Magazine report, the unclear ending of Rory's pregnancy was quite disappointing. Fans are still imagining who the father of Rory's Baby is, either her ex Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) or someone else (the mystery guy in the Wookie suit?).

"It's so interesting to speculate because every time I do come up with something in my mind about that character, I talk to Amy and she tells me what it's actually going to be," Bledel said with a chuckle. "I honestly haven't gone down that path and imagined it yet."

The actor said that it all depends on the imagination of series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. She stated "We haven't had input as to the story or the characters on that show very much. A Year in the Life, we did a little bit more than the original round of the show, but it really is all Amy."
