Tom Hiddleston won the Best Actor award for his role in The Night Manager TV Limited Series or Motion Picture category. But while, he was delivering the speech, he stumbled and in no time, the speech took a bizarre turn of events.

English actor Tom Hiddleston won the Best Actor award for his role in The Night Manager TV Limited Series or Motion Picture category at Golden Globes. However, when the time came for him to accept the award and give a thank you speech for the same, events took a sudden turn - an unexpected turn to be specific.

This is what exactly happened during Tom Hiddleston's speech. As reported by E! Online, the English Hollywood actor stuttered at first and went on to thank the people involved in the TV show. However, after a minute or so, he ascended to talk about his humanitarian work in South Sudan, specifically a moment when a group of young doctors and nurses approached him to tell him how they just binge-watch the AMC mini-series. He gave context to his short story and later went on express how the idea of him, or his team providing some relief and entertainment to people who are fixing the world in places, makes him proud.

The actor later took to Facebook to apologise for his glitch. He posted, "I just wanted to say, I completely agree that my speech at the Golden Globes last night was inelegantly expressed. In truth, I was very nervous and my words just came out wrong," he wrote.

He also said that his only intention was to salute the incredible bravery and courage of the men and women who work so "tirelessly" for UNICEF UK, Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and World Food Programme and the children of South Sudan. He said that he hopes to continue finding hope and joy in the most difficult conditions. He apologised for losing his nerves that got the better of him, as reported by Daily Mail.
