"Sherlock" is one of the most popular TV shows in the whole world right now. Internet Traffic on streaming sites that offers Sherlock episodes experiences a sudden spike when a new episode is released, especially if a pilot episode of a new season is available. The show is currently on its fourth season and fans wanted more of the Sherlock fun. But this may be the last season of the widely beloved show.

There is still no confirmation from BBC that the Sherlock Show might not have a fifth season, but Martin Freeman, who plays the role of Watson, thinks it won't have another season. On an interview on The Telegraph, when asked how long the show would last, he rolled his eyes and answered:

""Truly, I don't know how long it will go on. But these days we want everything yesterday, we're never sated, we want what's next, what's next, what's next. And I think, 'Wow, there's hours of telly you haven't watched yet,' you know? So let's just enjoy them."

The co-creator of the show, Steven Moffat, agreed with Freeman's statement. He said that he is also unsure of the show's fate. The co-creator showed that he is willing to create another season, but he also reasoned out that he is hardly the main draw. Moffat said that he is worried about dragging it out too far and doesn't want to keep the show going past its natural term.

According to reports, the show might wrap up with a finale episode titled "The Final Problem". This resonates with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's short story in which Sherlock meets his end. But because this event already happened in series two, there is no clue right now as to how the title is connected to the show's end.

The episode 2 of season 4 was aired last January 8, with a title "The Lying Detective". In this episode, Lady Smallwood also found out who or what Sherrinford is, but she will keep it as her dirty little secret. It is suggested that she is working with Elizabeth and Moriarty because of her knowledge on the subject. Also, in this episode, Sherlock came face to face with his sister, albeit he is unaware of whom she was or if he has a sister at all. Stay tuned for more heart stopping scenes.
