Julie Elias, a new artist in the Christian music scene, is set to share the stage with names like  Building 429, Newsboys, Plumb and others at the LifeLight Texas Festival this Memorial Day weekend at Willowood Ranch in Sherman, Texas.

The festival is free, has related events throughout the world and will be coming to Texas for the very first time, according to BREATHcast.  It is a weekend of family entertainment that gathers top performers from the Christian music industry.  LifeLight Communication has produced  free Christian music festivals since 1998.  By offering free admission, their goal is to allow all people to come and hear the Gospel message.

Elias will be performing songs from her debut album, "A Wild Rose," on the Triple Shot Café Stage Friday night and the Main Stage Saturday afternoon, BREATHcast reports.

"When I met the LifeLight organization-I should say, the LifeLight family, as they seem to be a close-knit team-I knew they were joined by a common love for God's people and a heart for worship," Elias told BREATHcast. "They do amazing festivals across the country and missions internationally. What is so especially cool is that the festival offers free admission. I hope this brings a ton of people who might not otherwise come to such an event! I am blessed and excited to be a part of the festival's debut in Texas!"

Elias is currently serving as an Artist-in Residence at White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas, one of the 10 largest Methodist congregations in the nation, with an average attendance of 3,400 on Sundays, BREATHcast reports.  Thus, she has very strong ties to the area in which the festival will be held.

"What a blessing to have the LifeLight Festival come to our area and bring thousands and thousands of people to hear God's message through music," Elias told BREATHcast. "I am hopeful that the entire Dallas-Ft. Worth area will be impacted by this event."

Elias feels that she has been called to serve God by becoming a singer/songwriter and she enjoys mixing different styles of music to create something completely unique, according to TodaysChristian Music.

"I've always believed you can hear words, but you can feel music.  What is a relationship with God without feeling His presence through your entire being? Sometimes songs can touch you in a way that words cannot," Elias says, according to TodaysChristian Music.
