Chad Johnson, 'Pork Chop': NFL Star Spends Weekend With A Homeless Man, Good Deed Goes Viral
Chad Johnson, former NFL star, spent his weekend hanging out with a homeless man named 'Pork Chop,' and took to twitter to document their activities together.
Johnson was approached by Robert, and he said that the man didn't know his last name, but his friends call him "Pork Chop," according to the Inquisitr.
Johnson tweeted on Saturday, "Homeless dude asked for a beer, I bought him a case of 24 n a pack of Newports, we balling together f*** it..."
According to twitter, he also gave "Pork Chop" a G-shock watch so he could tell time and the two of them listened to music together.
Before the evening began Johnson tweeted, "That episode The Kardashians took the homeless guy and cleaned him up? Can I do the same and this guy out tonight or that's a bad idea."
It seems that Johnson decided that it was not a bad idea, however. He spent the rest of the evening and the entered next day hanging out with "Pork Chop."
The unusual pair drank beer together, went shopping at Urban Outfitters to get "Pork Chop" some clothes and finished up the evening at a night club called "Dream" on Saturday, according to UPI.
Johnson documented the whole weekend on twitter and took tons of pictures.
On Sunday night Johnson tweeted, "Night with PorkChop is winding down... Fun times for 48 hours straight..." Then, he even tweeted that he was considering job hunting with "Pork Chop" since they are both currently unemployed.
Then, yesterday, "Pork Chop" learned that all of his new stuff was stolen after he went to sleep, according to twitter. Johnson, however, offered to buy it again. In the future he plans on continuing to help "Pork Chop" find a job by utilizing the resources that he has, occurring to twitter.
After the story about Johnson's weekend with "Pork Chop" went viral Johnson tweeted, "This fool PorkChop is famous now."
As strange as this account may sound, "the former Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots wide receiver has always been known to promote himself to the fullest extent," according to the Examiner. Regardless of the possible motivation behind it, however, I think it's nice that he has gone out of his way to try and give Robert "Pork Chop" a chance at a new life.
