Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are one of the best smartphones available in the market. The smartphones were launched around three months back and speculations for an upgraded device are already making the headlines. Google Pixel 2 is a highly anticipated smartphone of 2017 and few of its features have been leaked.

Google Pixel 2 is tipped to come with water and dust resistance different from Google Pixel which has an IP53 certified and is splash proof. According to a report by PhoneArena, Google is also working to improve the camera specifically for low light conditions and is planning to increase the aperture rather than focusing on increasing the megapixel count. There are reports of Google testing smartphone with Snapdragon 83X processors and Intel chips. Just like the current Pixel devices, Google might launch Google Pixel 2 in two versions - Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The XL version will sport a bigger screen and battery.

According to a report on 9to5Google, there are multiple prototypes of the Google's next Pixel device being tested. Dubbed as "Pixel 2B", these devices will be launched along with the Google Pixel 2 and will feature less powerful hardware at lower price points. These devices are supposedly aimed at different markets and will be alternatives to the higher priced Pixel 2. Pixel 2B might not feature water resistant capabilities and flagship processors but Google is reportedly working on providing the same user experience as its high-end Pixel phones.

The Google Pixel 2 is highly anticipated smartphone for the year and will reportedly be priced at $50 more than the current generation Pixel phones. This will make the device in the same league of the upcoming Galaxy S8 and HTC 11. There is still no information on the release of Pixel 2 however, looking at the previous announcements, Google might launch Pixel 2 in October 2017.
