"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" just released a new trailer for Super Bowl and it got a lot of fans talking about the sequel, which will be out this spring. The new trailer got the press buzzing when it revealed a still where Yondu, Nebula, and Mantis stood (or in Mantis' case, crouched) with the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Drax.

A short scene also shows viewers Yondu (Michael Rooker) working with Rocket and Baby Groot and sitting sullenly as Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) goes wild with a new ship. If that's not enough, Rocket says in the trailer, "Welcome to the friggin' Guardians of the Galaxy". If that doesn't give viewers the hint, then nothing will. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" director James Gunn, after all, had said that the second film will depict Peter's relationship with both his biological and surrogate fathers.

IGN reveals that Mantis (Pom Klementieff) will play an impressive and big role in the new film and upcoming sequels. Mantis is Ego's (Kurt Russell) ally and has been with him for many years. She quickly becomes friends with the Guardians after spending many years being lonely. Yondu, meanwhile, will also play a bigger role in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" especially after Peter meets his real father.

The film's official Twitter account uploaded short video clips of the main characters dancing. There's one of Yondu, Baby Groot, Drax, and Nebula. Of course Peter has more than one video clip of him shuffling on the galactic dance floor. Comic Beat also notes that the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" director released a new poster. Aside from the rest of the original Guardians' names, there's Yondu's as well.

That's a huge telling sign that Yondu won't just be a minor character. He will actually be part of the Guardians' team, which brings the entire film back to its original theme: family. During the San Diego Comic Con, the director revealed that Yondu (sporting a new fin) will play a more heroic role in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".
