'World War Z' And 'FridayThe 13th' Delayed: Paramount Releasing 'The Transformers' This Year
Two movies of Paramount pictures will not be released as per scheduled date. "World War Z" was scheduled for release in Jun this year whereas "Friday the 13th" was scheduled for October this year. Matter of delay seems to be some technical issues but other sources have blamed the inappropriate script for the postponement.
Finding the right directors, producer or cast can be one of the reasons for the delay of "World War Z" and "Friday The 13th". According to Movie Insider, other paramount movies scheduled to be released in 2017 include "Transformers: The last Knight", "Mother", and "Downsizing".
Paramount's long-awaited and much publicized Horror action film "Friday the 13th" has been delayed for the 4th consecutive time due to unknown reasons. Paramount has not officially announced any further details nor the next release date after postponing both the movies "World War Z" and "Friday the 13th", reports the Variety.
Originally, "World war Z" was placed against the release of "The Mummy" of Tom Cruise. This competition was planned to attract younger fans of action-horror adventures. According to a source, the movies could possibly be released in the last quarter of this year while some sources claim that Paramount has set 2018 for the release of delayed movies.
The first "World War Z" was one of the most successful movies in history which earned 540 million US$ worldwide. Box office super hit movies are usually recalled with different sequels as per the audience demand. Most often, these sequels attract more audience with greater revenues.
Paramount released more than a dozen movies last year some of which earned historic fame and revenue. These blockbuster movies released by Paramount in 2016 were "Silence", "Ben Hur", "Star Trek Beyond", "Office Christmas Party" and "Arrival".
The last "World War Z" was directed by Mark Forster and starred by Brad Pitt. A lethal virus erupts in the city which turn people into deliberately cruel and dangerous creatures.
