Scott Eastwood and John Boyega are ready to fight the Kaiju in the upcoming "Pacific Rim: Uprising." New photos from the set of the film recently surfaced, showing Eastwood suiting up as a Jeager pilot.

There has been a lot of speculation about what Eastwood's role will be, but the new photo confirms that he is indeed playing a Jaeger pilot in "Pacific Rim: Uprising." According to Screen Rant, the news came out a few days after photos of Boyega wearing a similarly-designed pilot suit also surfaced online.

In the photo, Eastwood appears to have blood on his forehead as well as on his suit. It remains unclear if this was the result of a messy fight with a Jaeger or if he had a physical altercation with someone else on the team. As for now, it's also uncertain whether Eastwood's and Boyega's characters are close friends or bitter rivals in "Pacific Rim: Uprising."

While filming for "Pacific Rim: Uprising" takes place in Sydney, Australia, Legendary has been advertising the film to potential licensors. The latest issue of License! Global (via Pacific Rim 2 Movie) gives fans their first look at the film's three primary Jaegers. The names of the new fighting robots have not been revealed, but one of the robots resembles a less bulky version of Gipsy Danger, the mech piloted by Charlie Hunnam's Raleigh Becket and Rinko Kikuchi's Mako Mori in the first "Pacific Rim" movie.

There have been speculations that an upgraded Gipsy Danger would appear in "Pacific Rim: Uprising." In the first film, the Gipsy Danger was sacrificed in order to close the bridge between the Kaiju world and Earth, thus it is unlikely that the same robot would be used in the sequel. But considering that Kikuchi is reprising her role as Mako Mori in the sequel, it is likely that she would be manning a reconstructed but upgraded version of Gipsy Danger Jaeger.

Aside from Eastwood, Boyega, and Kikuchi, the movie also stars Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona, Tian Jing, Cailee Spaeny, Mackenyu, and more."Pacific Rim: Uprising" has been set for a Feb. 23, 2018, release date.
