"Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi promised an action-packed comedy spectacle for the third installment of the "Thor" franchise.

Waititi said that "Ragnarok" will bring a distinct Marvel humor in the space adventure. Executive producer Brad Winderbaum also teased that the action scenes in the film will be unlike anything fans have ever seen, Comic Book reported.

"I want to take people on an adventure that keeps people laughing along the way, but also has the spectacle," he said.

In an interview, Winderbaum teased, "It's going to have some of the wildest, craziest, most amazing action you've ever seen in the MCU."

The Hulk will play a major role in the film. Recently, fans were treated to these action scenes in the form of a concept art showing Hulk and Thor engaged in a gladiator brawl. This reportedly confirms that a significant portion of the film will be based on the comic book title, "Planet Hulk," presumably with a twist.

In the comic books, Thor did not show up in the "Planet Hulk" storyline. Instead, the Hulk fought the Silver Surfer, whose movie rights belong to Fox as part of the Fantastic Four series. Therefore, it is safe to assume that "Ragnarok" will also borrow from other comic book titles of the "Thor" comics which will eventually lead to the "Avengers: Infinity War."

Now the latest batch of concept art releases for "Ragnarok" also includes Cate Blanchett's Hela, The Hollywood Reporter reported. In the upcoming film, Thor is reportedly imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his Mjolnir (hammer). He is reportedly racing against time to get back to Asgard to stop its destruction at the hands of Hela with the help of fellow Avenger, Dr. Bruce Banner.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated for release on Nov. 3, 2017 while "Avengers: Infinity War" opens on May 4, 2018.
