"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has made an announcement that no one expected. The Nintendo Switch will be having an extra expansion DLC that will come with the game and console launch. There is also an expansion pass available for purchase.

As reported by BBC, the DLC will contain new levels to complete and new places to explore. The DLC will also provide new outfits and difficulties for the main game. Nintendo has done several DLC before but it is the first ever DLC for the Zelda franchise.

According to The Mary Sue, the DLC will be available for combo at $19.99 and cannot be purchased individually. It means that second hand "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will not be able to get the DLC, unless player opted to go for the combo.

There are bonus items after buying the Expansion pass and is expected to be available on Expansion Pass only. They will come with three chests and one of the chest items is the Nintendo Switch Logo shirt that can be equipped to Link at the start of the journey. The content of the two remaining chests is said to be two useful items. "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" DLC comes with two expansion pack and the first pack will come this Summer 2017. The second pack will arrive on Holiday 2017.

This DLC causes the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild" to be divided in opinion. Others claimed that Nintendo is actually ripping them off for the DLC as these are the things that must be included in the game. Other players insisted that this pack is not necessary to finish the game because the game that will come out will be 100% complete. If the pack is bought, it would be 110% complete. "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be out this March with Nintendo Switch.
