Hip Hop Producer AraabMUZIK, Abraham Orellana, Shot In Alleged Robbery Attempt: 'Wrong Place At The Wrong Time,' In Recovery

Hip Hop producer, Abraham Orellana, also known as AraabMUZIK was shot on Wednesday and is currently hospitalized.

According to various tweets from Orellana's musical collaborators he was allegedly shot during an attempted robbery, Billboard reports.

Late on Thursday, his publicist said in a statement that he is "currently alive and well," and that he happened to be in the "wrong place at the wrong time," while he was hanging out with friends, The Associated Press reports.  The statement said that Orellana was in his neighborhood when he was shot, somewhere around Providence, Rhode Island.

His publicist's full statement read, "Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well.  He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can," according to Billboard.

Rapper, Avatar Darko, who had recently worked on tracks like "Vampire," with Orellana took to twitter about the situation, Billboard reports.  "[Pray] for my bro Araab! He just got shot but he'll be alright! He's strong!" Darko tweeted. "My lil brodi too trill! They tried to rob him and he ain't come up off his shit so they tried get him outta there! He meant to be here! Foh!"

As for AraabMUZIK, himself, his most recent tweet was posted early on Thursday, just after midnight and it announced that he'd be at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, that begins June 21, according to Billboard.

Orellana's manager, George Moore, also known as DukeDaGod posted a photo on Instagram of a small somber-looking group of people around his hospital bed, according to Billboard.  "Everyone wish my brother @araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!! #Mvpofthempc #Soblessed," he wrote.

Police are currently investigating the incident, the AP reports.
