Apple already has two watch series under its belt, but tech fans are excited for the Apple Watch 3 that's expected to have more features like an extra battery and better camera and design. The new product will reportedly be launched later in 2017, around September, just like Apple Watch 2's launch last year.

While there are other mobile watches out there, the Apple Watch series remains the most popular. The last Apple Watch series was launched in September 2016. It was well-received because of its unique and functional features.

Users are expecting the Apple Watch 3 to bear better specs. According to MacWorld, Apple is patenting a new product under the Taiwan-based company, Quanta, which also manufactured the other Apple Watch series.

The Apple Watch 3 release date is set to be around September 2017, just like Apple Watch Series 2. The new Apple patent, expected to be the Watch 3, will have a micro-LED screen so that battery life will be longer. There will also be an extra battery built inside the battery band. This band can be charged using the same charger for the watch itself.

PC World reported that the next Apple Watch series will still sport the same square screen design. Apple Watch 3 specs are reported to still include the GPS, a dual-core processor, and water-resistant feature. The Apple Watch 3 camera is expected to support FaceTime and taking selfie pictures. Another promised feature is that the watch strap can be rolled to serve as watch stand.

The next Apple Watch series will also likely have the 3D Touch, since it was a feature many users had wanted to see in Apple Watch 2. Updates on models, colors, and designs have not been announced it, but the Apple Watch 3 is more focused on prolonging battery life than adding new, flashy features. Users can expect to see this one in stores nationwide come September 2017.
