"Game of Thrones" will likely unite Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen to forge an alliance to take King's landing and share the Iron Throne.

Set photos reveal that Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) will finally meet in a scene filmed at the islet of Gaztelugatxe in Basque Contry. The scene is believed to be the meeting between Jon and Daenerys soon after the latter landed in Westeros, Watchers on the Wall reported.

Fans think that Jon will probably leave the North in the upcoming season or that Daenerys will take a detour to meet Jon before she wages war to claim the Iron Throne. On the other hand, others note that it is also possible that the two will meet at the Dragonstone.

Observers say that the set images reinforce the theory that the two characters will come together because said images were non-combatant in nature. Fans say that the reportedly impending union will be the ultimate culmination and representation of the end game for the "Song of Ice and Fire" series where the show is loosely based. Fans went as far as saying that there is a possibility of marriage between Daenerys and Jon to rule the Seven Kingdoms together, Screen Rant reported.

Do note that none of these theories have been officially confirmed. It is still possible that the series may take a different route in ending the series to blindside its viewers. Remember that the seventh book of "Song of Ice and Fire" has not yet been released and therefore, fans cannot hit the books to search for clues on how the series may end. So far, the only thing that has been confirmed is Gendry's return.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will arrive on HBO in summer of 2017.
