Months leading into “The 100” Season 4 premiere, everybody was talking about the nuclear meltdown that would make the Earth uninhabitable in six months. It turns out that Luna (Nadia Hilker) is immune to the effects of radiation. Her situation may also cause unease between her and the Skaikru, however.

In the “The 100” Season 4 episode titled “The Four Horsemen,” some Grounders arrived at Arkadia and were sick. Apparently, they had Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS) from eating contaminated fish. But, unlike them, Luna was not affected by ARS. Abby (Paige Turco) realized that it could be due to Luna’s Nightblood. Her body has the ability to fight the effects of radiation.

In the new episode of “The 100” Season 4, the Skaikru, led by Abby, went to Becca’s old abandoned laboratory in the island. They wanted to synthesize Luna’s blood and therefore provide radiation immunity to everyone. The problem was, Luna didn’t seem to want to do what was being asked of her said a TV Line report. She could be seen in the episode preview wondering what the Skaikru would do if she refused to grant them access to her blood.

There was a chance that Luna would refuse to become humanity’s savior in the new episode of “The 100” Season 4. However, the Skaikru could have turned around and betrayed her by taking her blood by force. When the group arrived at the island, a drone appeared and shot at them. According to
Buddy TV, Nyko protected Luna but died on the spot.

After the drone was shut down, Abby soon realized that Luna has disappeared. They looked for her and it was Raven who eventually found her. After a scramble that involved other drones, Raven told a still unsure Luna that it is not her blood that defines her but her heart.

Will that be enough to convince Luna to have her blood synthesized? Even if she agrees, Abby may not be able to proceed with her plan. It is not clear what type of enemies are in the island and if her group can survive them. Find out on the next episode of “The 100” Season 4. The series airs Wednesdays on The CW.
