Hugh Jackman finally said goodbye to Wolverine.

It can be remembered that Hugh Jackman first had the role in Bryan Singer's first adaptation of the series. After 17 years of portraying the role of Wolverine in the longest running comic book series "X-Men," Hugh Jackman finally comes to its conclusion.

In one of the reports, the actor dropped a valuable answer to the question on what keeps him stick to the role for years. Hugh Jackman even shared his sentiments that had there been an opportunity for the X-men franchise to be in Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hugh Jackman never would have needed to say goodbye to the role. However, fans know that this is unlikely to happen, given that 20th Century Fox and DC has never agreed for a crossover but who knows if this one could be an exception.

As part of his public farewell to his iconic character, Hugh Jackman appeared in "Tonight Show." According to the EW, the actor was in a light mode the entire show, wherein he seems to have enjoyed the games prepared.

Moreover, it was also revealed that his goodbye with Wolverine's character brings forth good news to Hugh Jackman in some way - he does not need to go on a strict diet anymore. The actor revealed in the show that he barely eats anything aside from boiled chicken, broccoli and cauliflower.

The actor also got a surprise from Jimmy Fallon, who had Chief Mario Batali cooked for him a giant bowl of pasta. The new diet routine of Wolverine did not go without being shared in Twitter. Nevertheless, Hugh Jackman admitted that he will miss playing the role.

Meanwhile, fans can see Hugh Jackman's final portrayal of the adamantium beast in "Logan."
