Brad Pitt has made the first move to reconnect with his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston amid his divorce from Angelina Jolie. He made the effort of tracking down Jen’s mobile number to wish her on her birthday. The actress turned 48 on February 11.

The former couple, who were married for five years before splitting in 2005, have been friends for some time now according to People. Brad Pitt, who first made contact with Jennifer via text, is believed to have already confided his ongoing divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie.

Before their fans start to get excited, however, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s reconnection is nothing more than friendly. The “Friends” star is now happily married to actor Justin Theroux, 45. According to US Weekly, he is not in the least bit threatened with his wife reconnecting with her ex-husband. Justin is okay with them being friends said a source.

Jennifer Aniston has constantly gushed about her husband and appears to be in an extremely happy place. In a 2014 interview, she said that her husband is not only a great actor but is also one of the best comedy writers she knows. Jen says that she finds it so attractive for a person to be good in so many things but yet, has no ego. She also marvels at how the two of them can spend endless amounts of time together and not get bored.

Brad Pitt famously left Jennifer Aniston to his then “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star, Angelina Jolie. After twelve years, Jen says that she doesn’t hold a grudge on both. She said, "I'm a forgiving person. I absolutely am. I think it's extremely important to forgive.”

According to Jennifer Aniston, holding a grudge builds up like toxic waste. If people can do unforgivable things, it is because of them being human beings who naturally make mistakes. It may have taken a long time coming but it is heartwarming to see her and Brad Pitt being friends again.
