Google is about to launch another Pixel this year. Google's Pixel smartphone was the "Flagship Killer" last year and really hit the market trend when it was launched in October 2016. Many experts said that it was the smartphone that had competed with iPhone 7.

In fact, Rick Osterloh of Google's hardware department and the maker of Google Pixel confirmed that Pixel 2 was on its way during his appearance at Mobile World Congress. "There is an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it," shared AndroidPit.

Osterloh, however, did not confirm the exact release date, but this means that the next Google Pixel is not just done once. Instead, it will have the necessary quantities for the production in the smartphone world.

He also added that the Google Pixel will stay premium. As Google Pixel will remain a no cheap smartphone, this means that Google will continue to have a high asking price for Pixel and will leave the lower asking price to other manufacturers.

This may be a bad news for some who looks forward to having Google Pixel as a cheaper smartphone, but rumors claimed that there will be a cheaper version of the smartphone. However, Rick Osterloh has not confirmed the rumor are true, shared Techradar.

On another note, Osterloh also didn't mention any unique or anything to look forward details on what fans to expect on the phone. Reports again said that there will be upgrades to its camera and chipset area. There might be also some waterproof designs on either of Google Pixel 2's version.

The Google Pixel 2 will also be the best smartphones to compete with iPhone 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 this year. It will certainly be a bottleneck from Google to produce more quantities depending on the demand in the smartphone world.
