Kate Middleton Private Secretary Quits; Duchess Of Cambridge Rumored To Be Losing Her Mind

The private secretary of Kate Middleton, Rebecca Deacon, has requested to be relieved of her duties after she gets married to her fiancé on March 7. Is the Duchess of Cambridge losing her mind as she scrambles to find herself a replacement?

Princess Kate has a big task on her hand because Deacon did much more than acting as her boss' right hand. She handled all PR issues for the Duchess, making sure that the media does not have a field day criticizing her daily schedule.

It is not a secret that Kate Middleton has not exactly been the over-active monarch that her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana had been in her lifetime. Even though it has been debated whether it was fair to compare the young princess to the legendary Princess Diana, it is something that the wife of Prince William has inevitably been subjected to from the very moment she became a part of the Royal family of England.

And every time the Duchess of Cambridge skipped a charitable event or a public appearance, choosing to stay back at the palace with her children, it always fell on Rebecca Deacon to handle the situation before it got out of hand. She has been by the side of Princess Kate for 5 years, arranging all her public events Closer Weekly reports. She has been spotted a number of times on foreign tours with the Royal family.

Deacon has had a huge hand in designing the public image of Kate Middleton over the years. "After a decade of service to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Rebecca Deacon will be stepping down as Private Secretary to The Duchess of Cambridge," a rep for the Royal family said, People Magazine reports.

Kate Middleton surely has her work cut out for her since it will be hard to find someone as loyal and reliable as Rebecca Deacon has been. The palace is yet to comment on the tentative date when the replacement is supposed to take place.
