'Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild' When Link's Pointy Hat Isn't Cool Anymore

Ever since the start of "Legend of Zelda" franchise, Link's hat has been one of his most consistent companions throughout his adventures. On "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild" however, the pointy hat has been missing. But what could be the reason why it is not included in the game?

Polygon reported that the reason is pretty short and straightforward: the hat didn't look great. And it seems like as time goes by and games became more realistic, the more uncool the hat becomes on Link's head. So the team just decided to remove the hat on "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

“As the graphic fidelity has increased it becomes more difficult to make that hat look cool,” said Breath of the Wild art director Satoru Takizawa in an interview during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. He added that as the game becomes more realistic, it is harder for the team to design the look of the hat.

Takizawa further elaborated with "Twilight Princess", saying that Link's pointy hat was made to be longer so that it would have this cool effect of moving on the air when Link walks or runs around. Obviously, it is not a great idea, as players started assuming that there's something inside Link's long hat.

But for die-hard Zelda fans that love the hat for however it looks, there's still a way to get the hat. According to WWG, the player must complete all the 120 shrines in the game to get the hat. That is why it is only for die hard fans because the quest will cost the players dozens of hours to complete all shrines.

But why not? After all, it is a game item. And it will be a very fun feat of players has spare time in hand.
