With the "Attack On Titan" Season 2 release date almost here, a few details about the upcoming season's plot has already been revealed. Surprisingly, Eren Jaeger, who was the focal point of the anime's first season, will no longer be given the spotlight in the coming season.

Of course, Eren Jaeger remains one of the good guys. But apparently, fans need to brace themselves for a diminished role of the series' lovable shifter when "Attack On Titan" Season 2 release date arrives this month.

In lieu of Eren Jaeger, his other teammates will get the spotlight in "Attack on Titan" Season 2. The revelation was made by Tetsuro Araki, chief director of the series, along with other highlights of the coming season, Comic Book reported.

"For individual character that get the spotlight, I think Krista and Ymir really shine in Season 2," chief director Tetsuro Araki teased. While they received some attention in the anime's first season, they will be in the eye of the storm this time.

In addition, Araki assured a visually stunning "Attack on Titan" Season 2 up ahead. Whatever he pictures in his mind, the animation team was able to translate it into visuals that are more creative than what Araki originally thought of. Apparently, their exposure doing the first season gave them the necessary experience to level up and polish their animation skills.

Waiting for the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 need not be a boring affair for fans. The complete first season of the anime will be shown in selected 19 cinemas across the U.S., according to Droid Report. The "AoT" Season 1 compilation screening runs from March 27 to 29, which gives fans the chance to catch up or get a refresher on the previous season's event.

The "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date is slated to arrive on April 1, 2017. Stay tuned to MStarsNews for the latest updates on the popular anime series.
