Samsung's flagship killer smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is highly anticipated on its upcoming launch as April is finally approaching. Samsung has a lot to prove on its newest flagship killer, in order to cover up the most dramatic product recall in tech history from last year's Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.

As previously reported, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to make their official debut on March 29. These two smartphones are expected to be a major hit since this would be the biggest rivalry to Apple's iPhone 8.

A set of leaked information has been coming down the pipeline over the past few weeks, in fact, acclaimed KGI Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has confirmed a new research note of what fans can expect to see from Samsung's flagship killers this 2017. Now, according to the analyst, Samsung Galaxy S8's sales will drop after iPhone 8 is launched.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities noted that Samsung Galaxy S8 shipments will be slower than that of the Galaxy S7 from last year. "We project Galaxy S8 shipments of 40-45mn units in 2017F, implying slower momentum compared to Galaxy S7 in 2016 (around 52mn units shipped)," the note said. He also added that the Galaxy S8 will lack sufficient "attractive selling points." However, OLED iPhone could well be a bigger draw for consumers, as reported by Gadgets 360.

Also, as Kuo predicted before on the previous reports, there will be two size variants for the Galaxy S8. Galaxy S8 will be sporting a 5.8-inch display, larger than the Galaxy S7 while S8 Plus is a massive 6.2-inch display. Both phones will have the curved OLED display and will have an increased resolution of 2960 x 2400 pixels.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM and it will be sold in the US, Japan, and China markets while models sold in Europe and the rest of Asia will sport Samsung's Exynos 8895 processor, reported 9To5Google.

In addition, Kuo writes that the Galaxy S8 will be available in the market on April 21. However, there were also rumors that Samsung Galaxy S8's release was pushed back a week to April 28.
