'Winds of Winter' Author George RR Martin Complains About Bad Journalism

The "Winds of Winter" author George RR Martin expressed his disappointment in bad journalism on his blog. The "A Song of Ice and Fire" star was losing patience over the wrong information reported on his works.

George RR Martin admitted that he was taken aback with the inaccurate reports over the web about his Stagecoach Foundation initiative. So, "ASOIAF" author took the time to explain the project and pointed that flaws he observed in online journalism.

"There seems to be some sort of grotesque echo chamber effect going on here. These stories are not only full of errors, but they are the same errors," George RR Martin wrote on his blog titled "Bad Journalism". "When I was in journalism school at Northwestern, we were drilled in the head every day with Joseph Pulitzer's famous maxim, 'Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy.' That seems to have gone out of favor, at least on the internet."

It can be remembered that there were also a lot of reports about the release date of the anticipated "The Winds of Winter," which George RR Martin denied. The celebrity author downplayed all the speculations about "TWOW" suggesting that once it is ready he will announce it.

On a side note, Daily Telegraph reported that George RR Martin is distracted by the people who wanted him to finish the sixth "ASOIAF" book. The report added that the "Game of Thrones" creator has started an online war with the journalists. Also, per the report, GRRM replied to a comment that fans might not like.

"I just need more hours in the day. Oh, and more energy would help too. I do get tired more quickly than I used to ," George RR Martin wrote. This reportedly implied that the author slowed down and the release date of "The Winds of Winter" might be further delayed.
