"Grey's Anatomy" has tapped "Glee" star Matthew Morrison in an unspecified role. Details about his character are being kept under wraps.

In his Instagram post, the 38-year-old actor revealed that the name of the character he is playing is Dr. Paul Stadler. However, stopped short of confirming and revealing more details about his role in "Grey's Anatomy."

Morrison was caught filming in Los Angeles with Justin Chambers who plays Alex Karev on the show. Fellow "Grey's Anatomy" actor Kevin McKidd will helm the episode where Morrison will make his debut, ET reported.

While ABC has yet to confirm anything about Morrison's role, the leaked set photos may have given fans to speculate that he will be playing Jo Wilson's (Camilla Luddington), estranged abusive husband. In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 finale, it was revealed that the reason why Jo cannot marry Alex is because she is still married to someone else and that someone is so abusive that she had to run away and change her name.

Earlier, news surfaced that the crew of "Grey's Anatomy" are actually looking to cast a Caucasian actor, preferably in his mid-40s to play a mystery role. Reports said that they want someone who is appealing, charming, manipulative and charismatic all at the same time.

"Grey's Anatomy" executive producer Debbie Allen said there is a big chance that viewers will get to meet Jo Wilson's estranged husband. "There is a chance, a big chance," she said, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Allen acknowledged that they have not been able to completely explore what Jo is dealing with and why she is holding back. Allen further said that Jo's backstory alone can be carried all the way into "Grey's Anatomy" Season. 14.

Justin Chambers dished recently that the Jo and Alex saga is not yet over despite their falling out when Alex nearly killed Dr. Andrew De Luca. "Grey's Anatomy" airs every Thursday on ABC.
