Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam are set to appear on the big screen with their upcoming film, "The Lost City of Z." However, according to the "Son of Anarchy" star, it took time before his friendship with the "Twilight" star evolved.

In an interview with Screen Daily, Charlie Hunnam was asked about his experience working with Robert Pattinson. According to the "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" star he had a couple of rehearsal sessions with co-star Sienna Miller but didn't have any time with Tom Holland and Kristen Stewart's ex.

" Through the work, I don't think I said more than ten words to Robert [Pattinson] off camera. I didn't know if he was just 'in that zone' or if he genuinely didn't like me," Charlie Hunnam said. "There was a real distance between us."

Despite the distance between the two actors, Charlie Hunnam said that it just created the right dynamic on screen. The "Son of Anarchy" star added that Robert Pattinson has subsequently reached out to him and is making efforts to be friends with him.

According to E! News, Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam's upcoming film, "The Lost City of Z" is an adaptation of David Grann's nonfictional bestseller novel titled, "The Lost City of Z: A tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon."

The story revolved around the disappearance of a 20th-century British colonial explorer named Percy Fawcett. He traveled to Amazon and discovered evidence of a mythical advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region.

According to Charlie Hunnam, he was filled with joy and terror when he read James Gray's script for "The Lost City of Z." For him, it was the biggest challenge and he wanted to give his all for the role.

"The Lost City of Z" will hit the big screen on April 14. Meanwhile, Charlie Hunnam's "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" will be released on May 11.
