The Duggar Family News: Michelle And Married Daughters Speak About Their Wedding Tradition

The Duggars are popular for their Christian values and being conservative. Most girls also get engaged and get married at an early age. Michelle Duggar and her married daughters Jill, Jessa and Jinger speak about their family's wedding tradition.

In most weddings, one will hear that the bride needs to have something old, something news, something borrowed and perhaps, something blue. For the Duggars, they have their own wedding tradition.

Jim Bob's wife Michelle Duggar and his mother-in-law wore the same wedding gown. The "19 Kids and Counting" matriarch shares that they preserved the gown and used a part of it into Jill, Jesse and Jigger's gown and bouquet, Today reported.

In 2014, on Jill Duggar-Dillard's wedding, her grandma and mom gave her little clippings of the dress and put it in a handkerchief. They also stuffed it into her bouquet, so she was able to carry it with her down the aisle.

In the same year, Jessa Duggar-Seewald also got married and shared that her mom and grandma also created a little rosette for her bouquet. Jessa thinks the family is creative enough in incorporating her grandma and mom's gowns in theirs.

The case is different for Jinger Duggar-Vuolo because it was incorporated in her dress and not in her bouquet. "It was neat to see how (dress designer) Miss Renee had so creatively incorporated that piece of my mom's and grandma's dress into my dress," Jinger said.

Joy-Anna Duggar is expected to go down the aisle next after announcing last month that she's already engaged to her long-time friend Austin Forsyth. The engagement reportedly happened on March 2.

"We just got engaged!" Duggar, 19, told Us Weekly. "I'm so excited to be engaged to my best friend - Austin made it so romantic, it's amazing."
