‘Riverdale’ Season 1 Episode 12 To Reveal Jason's Killer; Casts React
"Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12 will reveal the identity of Jason Blossom's killer that will definitely shock viewers. The casts of The CW series themselves were surprised when they learned who killed Jason.
The penultimate episode will finally answer what viewers have been questioning since the show begun - "Who killed Jason?" According to actress Mädchen Amick, who plays Betty's mother Alice Cooper, fans will know the murderer in "Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12; however, the revelation will leave another question. "But the reasoning - why he was killed - is still a little bit of a mystery," Amick told The Wrap.
The identity of Jason's killer will clearly leave a lasting impression on viewers after they watch "Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12. It did so for Amick and fellow cast Marisol Nichols, who plays Hermione Lodge, wherein they admitted in an interview with Pop Sugar at WonderCon that they were completely taken by surprise.
Amick and Nichols said that the casts initially have their suspicions about who killed Jason; however, they were shocked to learn about the person's real identity during a cast table read for "Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12. "When we read the script that had the killer in it, we weren't given the script before; it was a cold read, so we were all like sweating and hyperventilating!" Amick said.
Nichols chimed in and said that they had to reread the script for "Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12 to make sure, and they had to back read the twists and turns so they can connect them to Jason's killer. Amick added that there are breadcrumbs placed in past episodes that hint the killer's identity. These clues made the casts go "oh wow" when they back read the script.
Clearly, the casts were not prepared to learn about the identity of Jason Blossom's killer. Fans are sure to be in for a surprise too when they see the revelation in "Riverdale" Season 1 episode 12 which airs on April 27 and April 28 on The CW and Netflix, respectively.
