"Spider-Man: Homecoming" star Tom Holland is set to reprise his superhero character in the second "Avengers: Infinity War" movie. Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, confirmed that the young actor has secured his deal with Marvel for additional three film appearances.

Feige announced Spider-Man's involvement in the second "Avengers: Infinity War" film during a press gathering on Wednesday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he confirmed that Holland will reprise the web crawler in the still-untitled film.

However, that is the extent of the studios' involvement with the character. Feige said Holland has signed a deal with Marvel to appear in three more films under the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After his lead appearance in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Holland will reprise the character in its sequel. Then he returns as Spider-Man in the first "Avengers: Infinity War" movie and the second part, which is now called "Avengers 4."

Feige clarified that Marvel Studios does not have any ties with Sony Pictures with regard to any "Spider-Man" movie spinoffs. Holland's contract ends with the second "Avengers: Infinity War" film, which is set for release in 2019. The sequel to "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is also scheduled for a 2019 release. "That's as far as it goes for now. We had a very particular plan about Spidey himself," Feige told the press.

Holland previously talked about filming for "Avengers: Infinity War" in an interview with Variety. The actor gushed about his co-stars and talked about the fun he had on set. Likewise, the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star may have hinted at his appearance in "Avengers 4" in this interview. "'Avengers' was crazy, because you're on set every day with actors I never dreamed I would work with," he said.

Holland is set to return to the big screen as the web crawler on July 7, 2017, when "Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens in US theaters. He appears next in the first "Avengers: Infinity War" movie which comes out in 2018.
