Details about "The Walking Dead" Season 8 remain scarce. The good news is, the creator of the series have taken fans' complaints about Season 7 as a lesson to improve. Showrunner Scott Gimple promised the installment will not be slow paced.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gimple acknowledged the complaints, especially on the characters and storyline pacing in Season 7. He promised that "The Walking Dead" Season 8 will be different. Characters' storyline will not be explored in single episodes rather it is going to move as the season progresses.

"By virtue of the fact that the narrative has turned into one of pretty intense conflict, it's going to affect the structure in ways that make it a bit more kinetic, a bit more breakneck - shifting away from entire stories in one episode, and sort of fractured over several episodes, with little pieces of each story coming together," Gimple said. Production on "The Walking Dead" Season 8 will continue on May 1.
