Demi Lovato has created a clamor on social media sites after sharing her photo endorsing a controversial detox tea. Fans and medical community are rampaging against the negative effect of the sponsored product.

Demi Lovato is very well-known for her mental health advocacy after suffering from an eating disorder. Now, fans think that it is very ironic of her promoting and sharing her experiences of using Teami Blends detox tea which is said that it can put health at risk, as reported by Teen Vogue. And fans are very vocal about their disappointments on social media.

Lovato has been sharing on her social media accounts photos of her wearing her swimsuits revealing her sexy figure recently. She claims that she has finally conquered her body image issues, as reported by The Sun. Wearing a plunging V neckline one piece swimsuit, she told fans she was feeling better about her body than ever before. It has been a long journey for her but she said that the result is worth it.

The singer finally unveils her secret diet with a photo she posted on her Instagram. While holding Teami Blends Tea she wrote: "This year is all about #selflove truly taking care of myself and exercising has changed everything for me." Lovato said further that Teami Blends have sponsored her 30-day detox to help get rid of toxins out of her body. She also offered a 20-percent discount by using the code DEMI.

Though, alarmingly, medical professionals claimed that the tea can be harmful to the health. According to British nutritionist Dr. Lauretta Ihonor, the tea can make you feel like you're losing weight though it might remove important fluids from the body which can cause muscle damage, heart arrhythmia, and a lazy bowel.

A similar case occurred last year with Slendertoxtea endorsed by Kylie Jenner. Though the firm has already remove senna leaf as an ingredient in their tea.Lovato still remains silent about this issue, but there is a need for a statement, or more damage will be done.
