Chris Brown celebrated his birthday on Friday. However, his birthday bash turned surprising and unforgettable after he was served with a restraining order from his ex during the event.

On Thursday, May 4, Chris Brown celebrated his birthday in Grooves nightclub in Houston. The "Ayo" singer was about to leave the venue when she was served with a restraining order from his ex Karrueche Tan, TMZ reported.

Chris Brown's former lover wanted the judge to order him to stay out of her life after he allegedly threatened that he will shoot her. The "Party" singer also resorted in physical abuse when he punched her in the stomach that threw her down the stairs.

Karrueche Tan reported made a "sworn statement" to a judge in early February 2017 when she tried to secure the restraining order for her own safety, Hollywood Life added. The restraining order requires Chris Brown to remain at least 100 yards away from the "3-Headed Shark Attack" actress.

Chris Brown needs to keep himself away from Karrueche Tan's mom and brother because they are protected by the same order too. The celebrity star added that the singer threatened a number of her friends and even threw a drink at them in an unknown incident.

This is not the first time for Chris Brown to face violence charges. On Feb. 8, 2008, he was charged with domestic violence after beating up his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. The "Loyal" singer pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to 5 years of probation and 6 months of community services.

Many were hoping that Chris Brown will change after the said incident. However, with Karrueche Tan's claims, it looks like the "New Flame" has never learned his lesson yet. The hearing is set later this month.
