Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui Speaks About Solo Career, Thinks She Has More To Offer

Lauren Jauregui a Fifth Harmony singer spoke about going solo and confessed that she doesn't completely align herself to the band's image. The "That's My Girl" songstress revealed these confessions in a recent interview.

In an interview with Vulkan Magazine, Lauren Jauregui admitted that she believed that Fifth Harmony's image doesn't really have anything to do with who she is as an individual. The singer is a woman's right advocate but her band portrays a sexualized imaged that contradicts her advocacy.

"I would say firstly, that the group's image doesn't really have anything to do with who I am as an individual, as I'm sure a majority of people can understand if they know me or the story of how we were put together on the X Factor," Lauren Jauregui said. "But secondly, I would say that regardless of how the brand has been created, we are four hard working women who have succeeded in making our dream to become artists a more possible reality through this."

As for the biggest misconception about her, Lauren Jauregui confessed that she's more than her role in Fifth Harmony. She announced that she has more to offer than all the opportunities she had.

Lauren Jauregui did not elaborate it too much about going solo in the interview. However, she is hinting that will only achieve her "personal legend" when she's no longer a member of Fifth Harmony. As for 2017, she revealed that she wanted to write, paint, read and exercise more. She also mentioned that her band has an upcoming project.

In other news, the "Worth It" singer speaks again about being sexy and feminist. She even used her celebrity status to preach what she believes is right. Lauren Jauregui shared the common criticism that she received because Fifth Harmony embraces their sexuality are the allegations that they are not feminist.

 "We've reached millions of people all over the world who watch our interviews and listen to the message beyond the sexualization, which is to love yourself first and to understand your worth," Lauren Jauregui explained per Latina. "A woman embracing her sexuality is something that shouldn't be taboo."
