Johnny Depp is now ready to look into the future. With his acrimonious divorce from Amber Heard finalized in January and a new management team handling his finances, Depp has even gone back to dating. That is, while he has been focusing on his work and spending time with his children.

Amber Heard, 31, filed for divorce from the 53-year-old Johnny Depp after just 15 months of marriage in May 2016. The ex-couple were embroiled in a messy court battle with the actress accusing the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor of domestic abuse. The divorce was finalized after Depp paid Heard a $7 million settlement.

Sources close to Johnny Depp revealed that he’s getting his personal life back to normal according to People. They added, “He is taking work seriously and seems healthy.” It can be remembered that just as the actor’s divorce was being finalized, Depp filed a lawsuit alleging fraud and mismanagement of his wealth against his former business managers at TMG.

In its counterclaim, TMG claimed that Johnny Depp has become uncontrollable in his spending. The firm claimed that Depp has depleted his fortune because of ill-advised purchases. The actor reportedly earned more than $650 million in the past 13 years but he ended up $40 million in debt.

Some of Johnny Depp’s expenditures outlined by TMG in court documents include his $18 million yacht and the $30,000 he spends monthly on fine wine. The actor allegedly spent $3 million to shoot the ashes of his late friend, Hunter S. Thompson, out of a cannon reports Mail Online. The firm also claimed that Depp’s business managers already advised him earlier on that he could not sustain his $2 million expenses.

Johnny Depp, through his lawyer Adam Waldman, argued that TMG mismanaged his wealth and that his investments such as the $75 million in real estate around the world are actually lucrative. Depp has hired a new management firm to handle his finances.

Johnny Depp is currently in Paris to promote “Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge.” Last week, he was seen at Disneyland Paris with his co-stars Orlando Bloom and Javier Bardem. He will be next seen on the new movie version of Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” which will be out on November. Other upcoming projects include the crime drama “Labrynth”; the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” sequel; and the just announced dark comedy on cyber security mogul John McAfee.
