Jennifer Lopez Buys $10 Million Hamptons Estate In Water Mill
Jennifer Lopez bought a mansion on 3-acres of land in Water Mill, New York, for almost $10 million.
The mansion is 8,500 square feet and cost $9,995,000, according to Celebuzz. The estate sits on three acres of 'park-like' landscape and is only accessible through a private cul-de-sac. It boasts eight bedrooms and every amenity including a pool, guest house, theater, sauna, steam room, formal dining room, breakfast area, eat-in kitchen, media room, outdoor shower and covered porches overlooking Mecox Bay.
Lopez, a Bronx native, has been in the market for a Hamptons mansion for year, the New York Post reports. She visited the estate several times along with her boyfriend, Caspar Smart, and her two 5-year-old twins, Emme and Max. "She was serious about buying this time," a source told the Post, who also added that the price was "a steal."
The new estate has enough space for Lopez to build a guest house and and tennis court on the premises, Forbes reports. It is a classic Hamptons style home at the end of a private cul-de-sac. Celebuzz also reports that there are seven and a half bathrooms within the home itself.
A source told the New York Post that Lopez liked how much room the estate had as well as the privacy that it allowed. It was built in 2006 and had been previously owned by Ian and Alicia Stone. The Corcoran Group described the home as a, "perfect summer retreat with every amenity ... in an amazing location. Light, bright Hamptons beach house with privacy guaranteed on a secluded cul-de-sac."
