Big Boi Tour Cancelled: Knee Surgery Puts An Early End To Shoes For Running Tour With Killer Mike
Fans who were hoping to get a helping dose of out-there Atlanta rap will be sad to learn that Big Boi has cancelled six weeks of his Shoes for Running Tour with Killer Mike. The reason? Boi injured his knee and required surgery that will put him down for six weeks.
Killer Mike announced the bad news via Twitter.
Big Boi should be healthy enough to perform on his festival stint that begins in July. He will play the Forecastle Festival, Osheaga Festival, Summer Set Music & Camping Festival and Hopscotch Music Festival.
However, if you happen to be in Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, D.C., New York, Rhode Island or Massachusetts, you're out of luck when it comes to seeing Big Boi anytime soon.
There is hope. Killer Mike said in the tweet that the dates will be moved to September though nothing is official just yet.
Mike also commented on the recent passing of Andre 3000's mother Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, declaring that maybe "Its best we all home."
What do you think about the news of Big Boi's tour cancellation? Did you have tickets to see Killer Mike and Co. on the Shoes for Running Tour?
