Blake Shelton attended the CMA Fan Fest in Nashville recently and expressed his desire to hit the road and perform on tour again.

"I've been dying to get out there and actually tour," Shelton said, according to Rolling Stone. "It's been since last winter since I had a tour, and man, that's too long. This is what I'm supposed to do. This is what I dreamed about when I was a kid - being able to go out on a big tour and connect with fans and celebrate the summer every night."

Shelton has tour dates scheduled from July until October across the country, and the country crooner is itching to get rolling, particularly because of the size of the tour.

"We're going out there with Jana Kramer and Easton Corbin this summer, and I'm doing it on a scale that I've never done before," Shelton said. "I'm headlining these great outdoor venues across the country, in places I only ever got to play before because I was opening for Rascal Flatts or George Strait, somebody like that, a Brad Paisley. I never dreamed this would actually be happening for me."

But before he can do all that, Shelton has to fulfill his duty as a judge and coach on Season 4 of the NBC singing competition "The Voice." Shelton has two of the three acts in next week's finals, Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers, and has a good chance to win his third straight season of the show.

Only Usher's contestant, Michelle Chamuel, stands in his way.
