New England Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez Accused of Shooting Man In Face

Aaron Hernandez, a tight end for the New England Patriots was charged by a Miami man who claimed the football star shot him in the face

According to the victim, Alexander Bradley, he had been with Hernandez at a strip club in Miami on February 13 prior to the incident (ten days after the Super Bowl, which the Patriots barely missed). Apparently the two men got in an argument but left in the same car from the club. Bradley says the football player pointed a weapon at him and it discharged, whether intentionally or not is not mentioned. The bullet caused Bradley to lose his right eye according to his claims.

Bradley was discovered early in the morning outside of a John Deere store in Riviera Beach. Bradley also points out that Hernandez was not licensed to carry a firearm, but that point seems moot when you've been shot in the face. The lawsuit demands more than $100,000.

However, four days after the lawsuit was filed, the case was dismissed. According to Bradley, the dismissal was because of an error in paperwork but the lawsuit would go forward following a correction.

The original police report from the incident shows that when emergency personnel showed up, Bradley did not implicate Hernandez in the crime. He did list that his attackers were "hispanic and black males."

Hernandez is already being investigated by police for the death of one of his "associates" near his home in North Attleborough, Mass. The body was found on Monday and police searched the home Wednesday.
