Taylor Swift, Abercrombie & Fitch Drama: A&F Pulls 'More Boyfriends than TS' T-Shirt Mocking 'Red' Songstress' Love Life after Fan Backlash, Twitter Apology [PHOTO]
Taylor Swift's infamously known for her rather long list of short-lived Hollywood boyfriends - Harry Styles, John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner... readers get the idea. But apparently the popular clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch went a little too far mocking the "Red" songstress' troubled love life. A specific A&F t-shirt with the phrase "#More Boyfriends than T.S." emblazoned on the front was recently pulled from shelves after harsh fan backlash. Was the garb insulting, or simply amusing?
Here's the A&F shirt that got so many Swift fans riled-up:
Fans were so angry, they started an online petition on change.org to stop production and distribution of the "tasteless" t-shirt.
Now when people call Abercrombie’s public relations department, they get this automated message -“Thank you for calling Abercrombie & Fitch public relations. If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift t-shirt, please note this is no longer available.”
Wow, the store must've received LOTS of negative backlash.
On Tuesday, A&F also tweeted:
@Abercrombie: "Hey #swifties we no longer sell the tshirt. We <3 Taylor's music and think she's awesome!"
Are Swift fans happy now?
This isn't A&F's first brush with controversy, either:
