Jay-Z New Album: Jigga Will Perform Atop David Letterman Sign To Promote 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'

As part of his campaign to keep Magna Carta Holy Grail on everybody's brain, Jay-Z has announced he'll be holding a perfomance on the Late Show With David Letterman...sign.

Via the New York Post:

The show will go on for Jay-Z. The rap impresario has won permission from the city to perform atop the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee on the "Late Show with David Letterman" a week from Monday, sources said.

Jay-Z needed approval because his performance would mean closing Broadway around the theater, which runs from West 53rd to 54th streets, during rush hour.

XXL claims that this idea has been gestating inside Jay-Z's mind (which I will forever picture as a set of spinning rims) since 2010 when he wanted to perform with Eminem at the prominent location.

Jay has been doing quite a bit to keep his new album on our brains. There's the unconventional. release method (the album drops July 4 via a Samsung app) the teasers (HOV has released lyrics sheets and tracklists via the app) and of course, that commercial.

Magna Carta Holy Grail hits the app on July 4, stores on July 7,
