There have been a number of rumors, false alarms, and fake reports of rapper Eminem being dead. However, Slim Shady himself recently opened up that he almost was dead at one point after getting addicted to prescription drugs. The "8 Mile" star revealed in a new documentary "How to Make Money Selling Drugs" that he almost died during one overdose. In a video released on YouTube, showing part of the documentary, Marshall Mathers reveals that he had a prescription drug problem.

Us Weekly reports that Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers, entered rehab back in 2005 for a sleeping pill addiction and admitted to taken as many as 10 to 20 Vicodin a day.

When friends told him that he had a problem, the rapper admits he had a hard time believing he had a problem. "I would say, 'Get that f**king person outta here, I can't believe they said that sh*t to me,'" Eminem recalled. "'They don't know nothing about my fu**ing life, are they out of their f**king mind? I'm not out there shooting heroin, I'm not out there putting coke up my nose, I'm not smoking crack' ... I literally thought I could control it."

In the documentary, Eminem also reveals the moment he nearly died. "Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died," Eminem said. "My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it."

Us Weekly reports that "How to Make Money Selling Drugs" also interviews stars such as Woody Harrelson and Russell Simmons and is released today (Saturday, June 29).
