While "Blurred Lines" still sits at the top of the charts, R&B singer Robin Thicke has revealed and released the next song off his upcoming 2013 album. On June 30, the audio for his new tune "Give It 2 U" featuring Kendrick Lamar was unleashed on to the web.

Available with the pre-order of Thicke's sixth studio album Blurred Lines, "Give It 2 U" is a modern pop and dance song produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut and will.i.am.

The trademark of the latter is the most apparent. The futuristic, hard-popping beats from the song are very reminiscent of will.i.am's work with the Black Eyed Peas and his mega-hit with Britney Spears "Scream & Shout."

Dr. Luke's poppier, party-hard sound is clear too. He has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Ke$ha and Rihanna on their recent releases.

There are hints of Thicke's more throwback R&B sound apparent in the melody. His trademark falsetto paired with the more traditional vocal melody gives Thicke his vintage vibe in the incredibly 2013-feeling song, much like on his No. 1 hit "Blurred Lines."

The whole package seems to indicate a hit for Thicke and calls back to a Midnite Vultures-era Beck. Mixing old and new school has been huge this year. Besides "Blurred Lines," Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake have had massive hits with a throwback sound.

Blurred Lines is set to be released on July 30. While it's unclear whether or not "Give It 2 U" will be a single, the song is included on the highly anticipated album.
