Nipsey Hussle Arrested At Trayvon Martin Protest
Los Angeles rapper and constant "rising" list bullet point Nipsey Hussle was arrested during a Trayvon Martin rally on suspicion of brandishing a firearm. Cops at the Leimart Park event thought they saw Hussle wielding a weapon. After handcuffing him and releasing that Hussle had no weapon, the rapper was released.
(For those of you paying attention: Nipsey Hussle was attending an event to show iritation over the wrongful death of a young, black man at the hands of a gun-toting neighborhood watchmen. The police quickly descended upon him on the mere suspicion that he might have a gun.
Whereas the residents of Sanford had to d*mn-near riot to have Zimmerman arrested and put on trial for the death of one of their own.
It's a shame is all I'm saying.)
Hussle is claiming that the LAPD were a bit more rough than was necessary, saying the cops hassled his disabled brother.
"They pushed his face on the concrete. They dropped a knee in his spine then twisted his arm and cuffed him while he was not resisting," Hussle told TMZ.
He also says that the authorities detained him for four hours while determining if anyone in Hussle's group had weapons.
For his part, Hussle doesn't believe he was being profiled.
"I think it was the result of hyper sensitive LAPD officers overreacting once again," he said.
