British Open 2013: Winners Odds? Future Dates Could Spell Disaster; Woods in the Hunt

After the second day of play during the British Open this year, there are a few surprises at the top of the leaderboard. One surprise is Tiger Woods, while he might be the best player in the world more critics would agree that he is also one of the more inconsistent ones lately. (Over the last few years that is.) After he made the switch to Nike he seemed to slow down a little bit and started to lose leads that were once impossible to catch. He started to kick it back into gear after a while, but after that scandal where his wife tried to take his head off with a golf club, his game slipped yet again.

There has been talk that the number one player in the world was over with winning majors. Well it would seem that he and Miguel Angel Jimenez along with a nice line of players at -2 through day two might make that dream a reality.

One other surprise about this particular line up is the fact that Rory Mclroy isn't on the top 5... heck he isn't even on the top ten? Where is the number two player in the world? Definitely not where he should be that is for sure.

Speaking of Angel's it would seem that they are all over the leader board! Angel Cabrera is also up there tied for 6th at minus one for the tournament. The high numbers for this year's tournament are a consequence of some pretty brutal conditions so far.

What do you all think of the open? Anyone have any predictions about who might win the tourney now? Does Tiger still have a run at it? Let us know what you think in the comments below, we cannot wait to hear what you have to say about it.
