'American Horror Story' Season 3, "Coven" Casting News, Spoilers [VIDEO]: Alexandra Breckenridge, Season One's Sexy Maid, Returns for 2013 Episodes
"American Horror Story" is an interesting show considering each season tells a completely different story, though it tends to keep cast members around. So when season one's break out star Alexandra Breckenridge did not appear in season two, "Asylum," fans were pretty disappointed. Luckily the young actress has just signed up for season three, "Coven," though we are not sure what role she will be playing.
The Hollywood Reporter broke this casting news. Here is an excerpt:
Breckenridge was a regular part of the freshman season of the FX anthology, playing young Moira opposite Frances Conroy. The latter actress also recently booked a return for Coven.
While little is known about Coven, producers said at PaleyFest in March that the series would again search for haunted places in America. Murphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the next installment would feature three characters playing real people, with co-star Kathy Bates being one of them.
Check out some of Breckenridge's scenes from season one right here in this fan-made video:
The 31-year-old actress joins a rapidly growing cast including Denis O'Hare, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe, Kathy Bates and returning players Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe. Who are you most excited to see in the new season?
As you can see, Frances Conroy is also returning to the show. In season one Breckenridge played the younger version of Conroy so do you think the same will happen in "Coven" or do you think the show won't use that angle again?
"American Horror Story: Coven" premieres in October.
