Eli, Peyton Manning Rap: NFL QBs Brothers Spit 'Football On Your Phone' For DirectTV Commercial [VIDEO]
With the exception of the '85 Bears, rapping and football players generally don't mix. Nobody told that to DirectTV, however, and I think the world's a better place for it.
Their latest ad features Peyton and Eli Manning in awesomely terrible wigs, rapping about the ability to watch NFL games on mobile devices. Fully aware that the results are going to be godawful, the satellite company ramped up the absurdity to Lonely Island levels for "Football On Your Phone."
So many great moments. The shunning of the dude using his phone as a phone, the breakdancer who flops and starts watching football in the middle of a dancefloor, the completely incomprehensible milk/blouse analogy, Archie Manning on a gold throne, football-phone sexing allusions... Still, nothing tops the Alexander Graham Bell bit.
"What do you think Alexander Graham Bell would say if he saw you watching football on your phone?" asks an MJ-jacketed Peyton.
The camera zooms on a massive portrait of Bell before Eli tears through it with the perfect answer.
"Who cares? Dude's dead."
I genuinely lol'd.
What do you think of "Football On Your Phone"?
