Gia Allemand Dead, Alleged Suicide of 'Bachelor' Contestant [PHOTOS]: NBA Boyfriend Ryan Anderson's Heartfelt Good-Bye, 'Most Beautiful Person I Knew'
Gia Allemand, the former reality television star featured on "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" and "Bachelor Pad," died of an apparent suicide this week. Her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson, allegedly found the 29-year-old who had hanged herself at home. Anderson immediately called the emergency services but it was too late. Reports claims that Allemand suffered from insecurities and that her relationship with Anderson was on the rocks. Anderson has now made released a public statement regarding the loss of his girlfriend.
"Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile," Anderson, forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, said. "She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared."
Jake Pavelka, the "Bachelor" on the season in which Allemand appeared, tweeted his response to the news of her death:
I had to pull over, I can't stop crying. We have lost an angel.
