The profile of the actor focusing on how the A-lister has gone from romantic comedy star to breakout performer in this year's Dallas Buyers Club. Oh and they also bring up the fact that he writes rap songs with his free time!
First of all, here is the excerpt about the rap songs:
McConaughey pauses to let the power of the words resonate. He is an avid collector of bits of wisdom like this. "I got 821 of them," he says, nodding toward a slim laptop containing "aphorisms, bumper stickers, truths, and rhymes," many of which he has come up with himself. Lately he has been writing bits of rap songs.Rollin' through yellow lights on my skateboard, he speak-sings. Kiss the fire and walk away whistlin'.
Let's hope Matthew sticks to acting because he is definitely great at that.
The profile also shows how Matthew speaks to himself occasionally and gives a pretty good rundown of one instance.
"How we doing, McConaughey?" he'll ask himself. "How's your health? How's your family? Are you the man that you want to be?" the profile quotes McConaughey.
"As you get older, you're supposed to get better," he explained. "There should be an ascension."
