The great pizza debate started last week by Jon Stewart after he went into a rant about the superiority of New York pizza to Chicago style pizza might have come to an end this week. In a special Daily Show feature, Stewart addresses all of the attention his rant has been getting and even sat down to eat a deep dish slice in order to call a ceasefire in the debate.

We shared Stewart's rant with you last week, but what you might have missed was Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel sending The Daily Show some deep-dish pizza as a response. Stewart and his Daily Show staff responded to this in a funny Vine.

Well the back and forth might have become too much for Stewart because this week he addressed the situation and set up a star-studded segment highlighting his favorite pizza's healing ability.

Check out two clips from The Daily Show right here:

In keeping with the spirit of healing expressed in the previous clip, Stewart invited a fourth-generation Chicago pizza maker, Mark Malnati, to share some deep-dish slices on the show.

Stewart keeps the jokes coming while Malnati is offering him some plates, silverware and a hefty slice of deep-dish pizza, but eventually the host decides to call a truce once he takes a bite.
