According to some new film industry reports, Judd Apatow is getting ready for his next directorial project and he is teaming up with Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer's leading lady to do so. Comedian Amy Schumer and Apatow will work together on a new comedy entitled Train Wreck. Considering it is a comedic film directed by Apatow, we can assume that the title refers to the main character's state in her life.

This story comes from The Hollywood Reporter:

"Judd Apatow is casting his latest directorial effort. Comedian Amy Schumer stars as a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent. Apatow movies are considered big gets, and sources say he met with actors in Los Angeles throughout November. Schumer and producer Barry Mendel will take additional meetings in New York during Thanksgiving week."

This news is certainly exciting for fans of both Apatow and Schumer. It also comes just about a week after the filmmaker announced his new movie project with the minds behind another Comedy Central show, Key & Peele. With Schumer, Apatow has decided to direct whereas this other project he will serve as producer. This usually means that the Knocked Up creator has a bit more of a personal attachment to the project so he wants to be more hands-on in the process.

What do you think of Train Wreck? Do you like the idea? Are you excited to see these comedic minds join forces?
